I play music during class .. soft, melodic, with nature sounds. In all, Yoga music is meant to be cerebral. The aim is not to focus on whats going on externally, but internally, within the muscles and the thoughts. Music – especially ‘workout music’ – is meant to be loud, fast and pounding. Glaring guitars, beating drums and screaming lyrics draw the focus out of the body, so that both the fine nuances and dynamic impact of the physical exercise and mental unfolding is being drowned out. That and, it often prompts us to move beyond our means, and when that happens, injury occurs. In all, for true change to not just occur but be long lasting, it must be internal – truly ’embedded’ on a sublime level. So the music is soft so we can focus on where real change occurs – deep within. Below is just one example of music played during a Yoga class . Our newest poll was initiated by our friend, Olympian Mark Lenzi’s Facebook pondering. ¬†Of course, his favorite is Snickers, closely followed by Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups….and now possibly the forgotten Twix. There are so many current and discontinued choices. ¬†We even forgot about the best ever Reggie Bar. Here is the poll we created from SodaHead Polls, that is also available in the margin on the home page. QuestionsView...

What Is Your Favorite 80′s Movie?

What Is Your Favorite 80′s Movie?

Dec 27, 2010

Welcome to the newest Bold Spicy Poll. ¬†There were so many award worthy productions in the 80’s it was so hard to narrow it down to 13 or so of what could possibly be our readers’ favorite. ¬†Ghost Busters, Weird Science, and Sixteen Candles were all cut in the final hours though it is off course ‘cimematastic’¬†blasphemy not to include them. ¬†Bull Durham, Field of Dreams, and¬†Rain Man were obvious contenders, though too timeless, in our opinion for a¬†strictly¬†“80’s” list. Chariots of Fire and Full Metal Jacket were just not good enough and were actually edged out by Poltergeist and Who Framed Roger Rabbit. ¬†We ‘un-included’ all fully animated choices for a future poll. ¬†I still cannot remember why ET, the Extra¬†Terrestrial¬†did not make it in… If, in your opinion, we totally missed your all time most favorite ’80’s’ award winning masterpiece, feel free to post it in the comments section here or at SodaHead Polls. Please Vote while you’re here. ¬†It really does not matter much, because The Princess Bride will win based on no possible existence, of the argument, that this movie is not the best movie, 80’s or otherwise, of all time.
