ART is Blooming in April at new studio/gallery opening in Athens
ATHENS, GA (April 2011) – ARTini’s, the sassy & chic art studio, gallery and lounge located in downtown Athens is the hottest place in Athens to explore your inner artist and experience local artists while enjoying friends, family and fun.
ARTini’s art studio hosts nightly hands-on painting sessions starting at 7pm for individuals or groups, led by local artists where people can sign up to paint original works or art, copies of famous works or well-known images while enjoying an array of beverage options offered in the lounge.
“DowntownAthensis the perfect setting for a chic yet comfortable studio where locals can come to have fun and broaden their artistic style,” said owner/operator and artist Kate Cook. “Right away, I have fallen in love with downtownAthensand the people who make it come alive everyday, and I look forward to supporting and showcasing the local talent and creativity that lives in this community.”
For budding young artists, ages 6-12, there is an ARTeenies class weekly. These are children’s painting sessions offered on Saturdays 1pm – 3pm.
ARTini’s is also Athens’ newest showplace for local and guest artists to showcase their works in the gallery with regular openings every few months. There are also artists that have black and white canvas art for living room displayed where people can see what they like for their homes.
ARTini’s is open week days from noon to 5pm Tues – Fri for freestyle painting sessions and the lounge also offers a relaxing atmosphere and free WI-FI for visitors.
Private Parties, both on and off-site can be reserved with ARTini’s to make special events such as bridal showers, birthdays, baby showers even more memorable and unique, with a themed, self-created memento for each guest to take home commemorating the event.

About the Owner: Kate M. Cook
Kate M. Cook is an Athens resident, with her husband Dr. Kenneth Cook. She is a member of the Athens Area Arts Council. Kate has been drawing since she could first hold a pencil, and took various private art classes throughout her childhood. Graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in the Fine Arts, Kate’s degree emphasis was Painting and Drawing at Middle Tennessee State University. Since moving to Athens, Kate has helped establish an art show for the local Oconee Primary School in 2009, and does volunteer work at the Athens Humane Shelter.
