“Entitled “Open Up”, the track is glitchy electronica set against female vocals, and is ethereally captivating. The song conjures up images of water dripping, and, had you not known the duo of Sahin Kureta (music/programming) and Deniz Ozturk (lyrics/vocals) were from Turkey, you would immediately think this is Japanese. I also hear a bit of Björk in this, too. It really tugs at your earlobes in a myriad of ways.” – Invisible Ink

Fuji Kureta is an electronic pop duo; the members areSahin Kureta (music-programming) and Deniz Ozturk(lyrics-vocals). These two have been making music together since late 2008. They make songs in English and in French. The band’s sound oscillates between soft but strong melodies and very inventive beats.
Yetunde EP is the first release of Fuji Kureta on Bloomington, Indiana/South Africa based Tree Machine Records.
Somewhere in between moodiness and tranquil bliss,Yetunde comprises songs mostly written during the last months of 2014. With this release Istanbul based electro pop duo Fuji Kureta explore candor and introversion. The writing is inspired by the use of any kind of art to overcome unpleasant things in life.
The band won “2009 best electronica act” award in Miller Music Factory Contest, in Istanbul.
Then in May 2010 they released their first EP called SWEETS on Slovakian netlabel GERGAZ. The song “Bonjour” was a succes and has been used in an American independent road movie called “Small Beautifully Moving Parts.”
During 2010, the band played several gigs in Turkey and Germany. Among others, they have opened for Mika and The Raveonettes at Miller Freshtival, Istanbul, and also for Owen Pallett at Salon, Istanbul.
Fuji Kureta released their second album See-through in 2011, via Swedish netlabel 23 Seconds. In 2011 summer, they performed 2 live shows at the world famous electronic music festival KaZantip, in Ukraine.
