Moe’s Original Bar B Que Now in Destin

Moe’s Original Bar B Que is now located in the former Buck’s Smokehouse at 303 Harbor Blvd. in the heart of Destin. While the decor and beachy atmosphere remains mostly the same as Buck’s, the menu features all of Moe’s Original award-winning classics including daily smoked meats, seafood fresh off the boat and made from scratch, down home sides and desserts. Opening daily for lunch and dinner at 11am, the fast casual restaurant also offers large party takeout orders as well as full service catering for parties, fundraisers and events. Locals and vacationers can dine indoors in the 50 seat eatery or on the patio while enjoying beer, wine and occasional entertainment.

“As I grew up spending time in Destin, I knew the Emerald Coast would be the ideal community to run my own restaurant and make our new home,” said Moe’s Original Bar B Que Founding Partner and local Owner/Operator Mike Fernandez. “For this location, I am partnering with Brett Mancuso, who already has a successful Moe’s in Atlanta, and Mike Buckingham, who allowed us to transform his popular Buck’s Smokehouse. In the future, we plan to open more of our restaurants in the surrounding areas including 30A.”

Recognized with many awards, Moe’s Original Bar B Que has been named one of the Top 10 Rib Joints in the U.S. by Relish and Top 10 BBQ Chains in America by USA Today and The Daily Meal. Moe’s Original Bar B Que features pulled pork, ribs, wings, turkey and chicken smoked over hardwood served along with catfish and a shrimp sandwich. Additionally, a daily rotation of traditional sides and house-made desserts are prepared fresh from recipes passed down for generations. Since 2001, Moe’s Original Bar B Que has grown from a junkyard pit to over 65 successful restaurants in 16 states and Mexico.
