The holiday season is an awesome time to show love, enjoy your family, friends and share with others. It takes only the heart of one to bring joy to many. This holiday season, you are invited to spread joy to the children of the Fulton County Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS) by participating in the annual Joy of Sharing Program.

Donors are needed to assist in meeting the Holiday wishes of the 1,000 children in foster care who have been removed from their home due to abuse or neglect. Wish lists for these children are filled through monetary donations, donated gifts or the combination of the two from companies, organizations and individuals.

When a child is matched, the sponsor will receive the child’s name, age and three items from his/her special “Wish List”. All gifts should be delivered unwrapped to the donation warehouse at 1210 Logan Circle, Atlanta, GA 30318 by December 19th. Monetary donations and gift cards (Walmart, Old Navy, Target, Toys R Us, etc.) are used to purchase gifts for children not matched and to meet the children’s ongoing needs throughout the year.

DFCS needs your assistance in making this a very special Holiday Season for the children. If you would like to sponsor a child or need any further information about foster care licensing process, please do not hesitate to call Volunteer Resources Coordinator Delores S. Battle at 404-699-4387. All donations and gifts are tax deductible.
