Moe’s Original Bar-B-Que is quite the hit at 349 14th Street in the renovated Kool Korners building in Midtown. Customers have come to learn that Preston Smith and Brett Mancuso’s 2400-square-foot fast casual eatery and catering company offers more than just BBQ, ribs, wings, chicken and turkey. It’s the catfish and a shrimp Moe-boy sandwich along with the homemade Southern sides that folks are thrilled to discover as well. With all food prepared fresh daily, Moe’s Original Bar-B-Que is serving up an award-winning, all things Southern, BAMA BBQ experience.

Moe's Atlanta owners: Preston-Smith and Brett-Mancuso

“Beyond the incredible food, there is a great sense of culture that goes along with the Moe’s Original Bar B Que brand,” said Moe’s Atlanta co-owner Preston Smith. “We wanted to bring that vibe to Atlanta and have had a great response so far from the locals.”

Designed with a rustic feel complete with staples of the South, the down-home restaurant is comfortable and fun for students, families and professionals alike with indoor dining as well as patio seating. Additionally, there is a lively nightlife scene with an expansive, full premium bar, multiple high definition TVs, trivia and occasional live music on the weekends.

In 1988, founding partner Mike Fernandez hooked up with Moses Day in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and began learning to fire roast meats. When Moe fired up his backyard barrel pit, everyone in T-Town knew where to go. Mike and his partners, Ben Gilbert and Jeff Kennedy, were lucky to learn from Moses and his distinct style makes up Moe’s original flavor of BBQ. Moe’s serves up an all things Southern Soul Food Revival with not only award-winning, fresh from the pit BBQ but down home sides and desserts made fresh daily from recipes passed down for generations. From a junkyard pit in Vail, Colorado to 18 locations in Alabama, Colorado, Georgia and North Carolina, Moe’s Original BBQ has mastered the art of opening successful fast casual concepts by offering fresh, quality food in a cost-effective manner.
